23. Describe yourself through the eyes of a loved one.
Most people would probably say that they see more in me than I see in myself. They believe that I could do just about everything right now but I don’t do it until I feel that it’s the right time. They’d say that she is so talented; she sings, she acts, she models, she does makeup, she can do hair, she is a teacher, she is a mom- some would say that I need to slow down because I’m always doing something. Some loved ones would say that I try my hardest to make everyone happy even when it’s not possible because I hate hurting people’s feelings.
There are some who would say I’m quiet, and there are some that would say if you get to know me or get me talking about something I’m passionate about; you can’t get me to stop talking. Some would say that they thought I’d be a Diva when they met me but quickly realized that I was very down to earth and laid back.
All of these loved ones would be pretty accurate. I stay busy, I wear a lot of hats, I love wearing all of them. I try to make everyone happy and as I grow older, I am learning that making me happy is the most important. I am working on finding my peace in each situation and finding my oasis in the middle of the desert (took it back to Helen Baylor’s song). I have to continue to grow as NiSi and in my career. I am getting back to happy….
